The “Ethnic Aisle” was created to cater to to the white suburban population rather than those whose cultures are actually represented. As our country continues to diversify this aisle remains a place where selected cultures and countries are ostracized and ignored. This project focuses on how we might shed light on the problems surrounding the Ethnic Foods Aisle while reimagining how and why groccery stores can bettter reflect the food cultures of the diverse communities they serve.

This project was completed in collaboration with Ashley Tseng and Lily Murphy.
